A regional center for demonstration of precision Japanese equipment works in the National Scientific Center of Marine Biology
Japanese Shimadzu Corporation has opened a demonstration center in the National Scientific Center of Marine Biology FEB RAS - the first in the Russian Far East. Shimadzu’s Chromatographic Systems have achieved a strong position in the market due to their technical characteristics, reliability, and longevity. There are no the same equipment anywhere else in Russian Far East and Siberia.
This event attracted interest of specialists in the field of chromatography and chromatographymass spectrometry. More than 70 representatives of Vladivostok analytical laboratories attended the opening ceremony including specialists of institutions FEB RAS, FEFU, TSMU, TINROCenter, the Hygienic and Epidemiological Center in Primorsky Krai, and the Environmental Contamination Monitoring Center.
The center established on the NSCMB FEB RAS base is unique. With Shimadzu’s equipment presented here, specialists involved in chromatography and chromatography-mass spectrometry can solve most problems. For example, a line of gas chromatography consist of chromatographs, a two-dimensional chromatography system, and a tandem gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer. In the Liquid Chromatography Laboratory, there are various high-pressure chromatography systems, two-dimensional chromatography systems, chromatography-mass spectrometers with single and triple quadrupoles, and the supercritical extraction & chromatography system.
It is not a coincidence that Japanese demonstration center found place in the NSCMB of all others, with their lead qualification specialists and high-tech equipment. The center founders expect that its work will promote science and industry in the Russian Far Eastern Region.
