EEF Junior participants visit Primorsky Aquarium
Sixty teenagers from all over Russia came to visit the scientific and educational complex Primorsky Aquarium, one of the main attractions of Vladivostok and Primorsky Krai, on September, 6th.
Participants of the EEF (Eastern Economic Forum) Junior-2022, are not ordinary school students. They are bearers of innovative ideas, who have been working within a special business program during the Forum, developing their projects and meeting experts.
There was a cultural program for them, too. One of the its key events was a visit to the Primorsky Aquarium. Young people made a comprehensive tour of exhibits, saw diverse marine ecosystems and knew a lot about scientific research conducted at the Aquarium.
Adolescents were impressed by the unique scientific and educational complex and its animals. For some of them the world of nature was not only interesting but quite familiar, too. Antonina Kopylova, an 11th grader from Yaroslavskaya Oblast’, is designing a smartphone app for the Darwin Nature Reserve.
“I enjoyed the Aquarium a lot! I especially liked the tunnel with marine creatures. They are wonderful!” said Antonina.
A student from Anapa Maxim Volkov presented Vverh (Up), a youth start-up festival, at the Forum. He told us that he had seen many aquariums, but all of them were hardly comparable to ours.
“I was amazed at the grandeur of the place! I liked the sea life and I was curious to hear about the history of its evolution. It was as if we’ve been in both worlds, an ancient one and a modern one. I’m very glad I managed to come here! I am so thankful to the Point Junior Project!” Maxim commented.
The fact that the Primorsky Aquarium was included in the culture program of the Eastern Economic Forum highlights its great potential for the development of tourism, as well as of science and education in the region.
