“Ocean of Hope” will take place on the last Saturday of December.
For two years now, the volunteers of the Primorsky Aquarium have been holding a monthly charity event, “Ocean of Hope”, which aims to help children in difficult circumstances and children with disabilities. The next “Ocean of Hope” event will be conducted on December 29; its young participants will traditionally get acquainted with the largest Aquarium’s inhabitants, white whales, and go on an overview tour of the Aquarium.
“On such an unusual day everybody will get a chance to make a little miracle: during the event a usual charity fair will be held, and all collected funds will be spent to support children in difficult circumstances. Perhaps only due to our joint assistance, they will be able to enjoy the upcoming holidays”, said Marina Maslova, Chief Specialist of the Environmental Education Center.
The Aquarium invites handicrafters to contribute to the good deed by bringing their handiworks to the charity fair or by giving a master class to the Aquarium’s visitors. Dance and music groups are welcomed to join the event; demonstrating their talents, they can make a festive holiday atmosphere for the children. All handiworks, master classes and creative performances should be related to the marine or New Year themes.
On December 29, the volunteers of the Primorsky Aquarium will also organize a collection of gifts for the children in difficult circumstances. Our visitors can bring toys and stationery materials. The donated gifts must be new, clean, neatly wrapped and pose no threat to children's health.
The charity fair will operate from 11.00 till 13.00.
