26.12.2019 – New Year holidays at the Primorsky Aquarium
During the New Year holidays, the Primorsky Aquarium will operate on a special holiday schedule. The facility will be closed only on January 1. Throughout the holidays, from January 2 to January 12, the Aquarium will be open to the public daily.
17.12.2019 – Frogs with fishing rods
For the first time in its history, the Primorsky Aquarium has obtained several frogfish belonging to the genus Antennarius. These tropical inhabitants are also called “toadfish” and “anglers”.
11.12.2019 – The Primorsky Aquarium as a subject of study by a Swedish researcher
Doctor Lars Kaijser, Associate Professor at Stokholm University, has paid a visit to the Primorsky Aquarium to collect data for his research project called “Staged Knowledge. Public Aquariums as Institutions of Knowledge”. The project aims to investigate the conceptualization of nature and environmental issues at public aquariums.
02.12.2019 – The Aquarium expands its collection of jellies
The Primorsky Aquarium's collection of jellies has increased by several dozen individuals – blue blubber jellyfish (Catostylus mosaicus) arrived at the facility from Taiwan.

An exchange of experience and a signed Agreement on cooperation in the fields of education and visitor engagement are among the major outcomes of the visit made by staff members of the Primorsky Aquarium to the one of the world’s largest aquariums – the Monterey Bay Aquarium (Monterey, CA, USA).

Now all sharks of the Primorsky Aquarium are tamed: the inhabitants of temperate seas – spiny dogfish – eat only from human hands, just like their tropical counterparts.
09.11.2019 – The Dolphinarium will be shut for renovation
The Dolphinarium of the Primorsky Aquarium will be temporarily closed to the public from November 11 till December 16 due to scheduled repair works.
08.11.2019 – The Primorsky Aquarium arranges a “monstrous” holiday for visitors
Sea Monsters Day has been celebrated at the Primorsky Aquarium for the third year in a row. Last Saturday the Aquarium visitors solved a “wandering” quest, took part in “secret” workshops, attended the lectures of the series “Hell is Empty”, had their faces uncannily painted, and the most vigorous participants learned lively Irish dancing.

We invite you to visit the Primorsky Aquarium on Monday, November 4, which is traditionally the Aquarium’s Family Day. We will be open to the public during our usual operating hours: from 10:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m.

On October 11, the Primorsky Aquarium served as a venue for the 5th Russian-Chinese bilateral workshop on marine biology, themed “Marine Biodiversity for a Healthy Ocean – Biodiversity, Functional Groups and Ocean Health”.

Three Amur sculpins (Mesocottus haitej) have been added to the Rivers and Lakes exhibit.
25.09.2019 – Change in time of demonstration of marine mammals’ skills
On Saturday, September 28, the morning demonstration of marine mammals’ skills will start at 12:00 instead of 11:00 due to the Galaxy Vladivostok Marathon race. Tickets are available at the Box Office and on our website.

10.09.2019 – Knowing the sea: the Primorsky Aquarium turns 3
The Primorsky Aquarium means almost 1,500,000 people representing 40 countries that attended the scientific and educational center over the first 3 years of its work. It should be remembered that President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Prime-Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe were the first visitors to the Aquarium on September 3, 2016.
29.08.2019 – Be your own guide: an audio tour of the Aquarium
The Primorsky Aquarium has launched a new service: now visitors can use audio guides providing in-depth information – available in Russian and English - about all the exhibits.
