31.07.2018 – Seahorses move to the Sounds of Silence section
The Primorsky Aquarium has enlarged its collection of seahorses. The newcomers are being placed in The Sea of Japan/East Sea Exhibit, in a Large Seahorse tank (a plastic figure of a seahorse with a fish tank instead of a belly). Its former dwellers have been moved to the Sounds of Silence section where our visitors can hear different sounds emitted by the most silent sea inhabitants.
23.07.2018 – A walrus learns to quack like a duck
In Misha’s repertoire there are about 40 acts, and most of them are compound. For example, the Working Out Abs act consists of four elements: the walrus weighing 800 kg turns around to the audience, lies down on its back, puts its flappers behind the head and only then starts to raise and lower itself “working out” its abs. The walrus had to learn the sequence of tricks to perform the act
18.07.2018 – The myth of a bloodthirsty predator is dispelled at the Primorsky Aquarium
The environmental event called Shark Day was held at the Primorsky Aquarium on 14 July. The event organizers suggested young visitors and their parents to complete an educational quest to find out if the shark is man’s friend.

“The Shark: Man’s friend?” is the name of the event to be held for the first time in the Primorsky Aquarium. It will take place from 12:00 to 15:00, on 14 July.
04.07.2018 – The Primorsky Aquarium enlarges its collection of spiny dogfish sharks
The spiny dogfish sharks (Squalus acanthias), also known as spurdogs and piked dogfish sharks, have been caught in the area of Vostok Bay in the Sea of Japan. A small seiner carrying several specialists of the Primorsky Aquarium fished for walleye pollock and took seven spiny dogfish as by-catch.

Now penguins are happy to learn aviary, frolic and swim. Most of the time they spend in the water, they also sleep in the pool. The water temperature is maintained within 9 - 11 degrees of heat, air - plus 13-16 degrees. "The move did not affect the appetite of the birds, which means they feel at home in a new place," says a dolphinarium employee, ornithologist Ksenia Lyubimkina.

Bewitching beautiful jellyfish Cyanea capillata are not overseas guests, they arrived in the oceanarium from the nearest bay of Russky Island. Six Humboldt Penguin fledglings aged 9 to 16 months have arrived to the Primorsky Aquarium from the Nature Resource Network, Prague, Czech Republic – the hatchery providing the world's largest zoos and aquariums with animals. The penguins were acquired through the International Charitable Fund "Constantine" involvement.
